Home Theater Upgrade Pt 2

Here it is all done. I had to make a shelf for the receiver as it was taller and wouldn't fit where the old kaput thiner one was. The little flying saucer thing a ma gig next to the receiver is a ir to rf converter.

The surround speakers. I left the old ones (those 2" square ones) in and was lucky that there was enough wire to move over to the corners for the new ones.

All in all the sound is awesome, not like a good home theater system but way much better than what was there when it worked.

Here is a list of what i got

Best buy purchases
39" vizio D39H-D0 $270
Yamaha receiver RXV381 $219 (on sale)
TERK - Amplified Indoor Stereo FM Antenna $40

Amazon purchases
Yamaha NS-SP1800BL 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker Set $158
16ga speaker wires for 3 front speakers.
Next Generation Remote Control Extender $40
Wireless HDMI IOGEAR GW3DHDKIT $190 ( for hd from dish 211k to TV)

Already had a good blueray player

Bruce,
I agree with you about the sound. It somehow the sound is better in our MH than our home theater system in our home. I did mine a couple of years ago and Wow, what a sound. Love it. Great job on your system.
