Hopper + Hopper or Hopper + Joey???

New to me MH. Changing SHAW to DISH system. Camping World flyer shows two VIP 211z hooked up to a portable SAT dish. One for each TV. I have two TV's also so bought two 211z receivers. Not sure if a fixed attached SAT system requires a different setup then a portable one. Guess the 211zs are called Hoppers. Also ordered the DISH SAT system. I think I may have jumped the gun a little. Should I have bought a Hopper with a Joey for the second TV, instead?? Looks like they may charge me for each hopper (in the Motor Home) on a pay as you go setup. I don't have SAT System on the house.

Depends on the fixed SAT system and also the portable you use.

Nope -- they're two entirely different receivers:

- Two 211zs

- Two Hoppers

A Hopper would be connected to a TV and a Joey would be connected to its own TV.

Back to the question on your post . . .

I'd go Hopper + Hopper because it doesn't cost that much more, you get another 3 tuners, and you get a backup Hopper in case one fails.

I ordered the DISH SK-1000 SAT System. Also do not have a portable unit & don't see one in the distant future. Also just noticed that the rear TV with DVD player doesn't have HDMI system. Just the color cable system and what looks like a serial port (w/side screw attaching points), plus a small round female plug in. Not sure of name. 211z came with color cables. Still half step ahead of Murphy. lol thanks
