Hulu while traveling

Need some help with Hulu live tv while traveling. Just started streaming recently and canceled my Dish account.

So just started a 8 week trip and tried to use Hulu live. It appears that they want me to update my address since I am not at home but with a limit of 4 changes per year which will not work for most RV’ers.

Has anyone had this happen and is there a fix or workaround.

Thanks for any help.

Don't use Hulu Live. Ordinary Hulu, not "live," works fine traveling.

You can’t stream Hulu live outside your home address on Roku, Firestick, etc. You can view it on a cell phone or tablet provided that device has logged in to your home network in the last 30 days. It’s their way of preventing password sharing. Expect Netflix to be the same soon. YouTube TV allows remote streaming.

I like Philo TV for traveling... we get the cable channels that we like for $20 a month ($25 new subscribers) , and Pluto TV is FREE.

Thanks for the replies all. I will take a look at Pluto and philo as add on’s. I will also try to contact Hulu and ask about the number of moves. Their help pages say to contact them if you are out of changes.

We use Hulu Live every time we travel. The way we do it is we have a Apple TV and screen share to the TV's. Works great. We've had the Apple TV for years and stopped using it since all of our home TV's are smart TV's, so I just put it on the coach. The only downside to Hulu is if I forget to open the app within 30 days while at home, I have to call them and have them reset the 30 day clock. Of course signal strength is a downside if traveling to remote areas.

We use Hulu (not Hulu Live) while traveling and connected to our own wifi cell hotspot with no issues.

I believe the home ip restriction is only for Hulu Live.

Use GoogleTV. Their rules are more compatible to RVing.

On another post, someone recommend you use an VPN that you identify with your home zip code (address?) and that will fool Netflix and Hulu's location verification software.

Note: IDK if this will work? Can someone else who has done this, verify it works?

Netflix blocks VPN IP address so it won't work. I have IPVanish that I use to use to watch Canadain Netfilx and it no longer works. Most VPN only use relays in few major US cities and I don't know of one that will drill down to zip code. I have a Pepwave Relay that uses Speed Fusion to route traffic to my home and out my home connection. The problem with that is it has a lot of over head and takes a Pepwave router and Pepwave Relay.

Yes, I tried this, but the closest VPN for my VPN provider was 4 hours away, so Hulu wasn't fooled.

If you want locals put up your OTA Antenna. We have locals on ours 90% of the time. Chuck
