I'm out of ideas, any ideas what's causing my problem

I replaced my radio/backup camera etc.... (DIN) because whenever I hit a bump in the road my backup camera would blank out for a second.

The new equipment worked for months without issues, then recently it did the same thing after I had the front heat going. I turned the heat off and it started working again, I figure it was overheating.

It worked fine for the next several trips, then the other day it started to blank out again when I was driving, and this time it was a more consistent failure than before. I had run my generator for 6 hours or so, before I started driving. When I arrived at my destination I was parked for about 2 hours before I started driving again, but same problem. I was thinking the heat from my generator might have caused it to overheat.

Any ideas, theories?

Possibly corrosion in a connector. Maybe close to your camera.

I believe there is a splitter in the dashboard area, might want to check that out

Yes, there is a switcher for the side and backup cameras. It looks good, but I'm thinking of maybe swapping that out next.

It happens to the side cameras too, so I think it's not directly related to the cameras or their connections close to the cameras themselves.

Bad ground at the monitor, maybe a lose fuse.

Ours did the same thing on our 2016 Itasca 25B. It gradually got worse with both the side and rear cameras blanking out. Then they would work again for a while after we restarted the engine. In our case it was the switcher box that was the problem as you mentioned could be a suspect in this thread.

We also had side camera's so when she puts on the direction signal that side shows up on the monitor.

"It's Never too Late to Do the Right Thing" sounds like it came from the book of Murphy

Wink I believe

a book called "1984" should scare you. How about the Apple commercial?
