Infrared sensors not reading signal from BluRay or Directv remotes

Equipment: Tiffin 2013 Allegro 34TGA

We have finally sorted out the bluray/surround system and three television sets (one tv had been programed at either the factory or the dealership incorrectly). With the help of the Winegard and Directv people we now have the satellite up and working. The main problem remaining is that the infrared sensors do not pick up the signals from either the blueray/surround system or the directv remotes.

We have the little sensors on the bluray and satellite stuck on their respective units. I know they need to be in specific locations - right on top of each unit's sensor. No, they are not reversed. All three infrared sensors blink blue when we press buttons but nothing happens - no channel change, no volume etc. Neither the blueray/surround system or the satellite work unless I'm standing in the bedroom with the TV door hatch open and facing the units directly.

Might the infrared buttons in the motorhome need adjusting? If so, how is it done?

Thanks in advance.

P.S., I have asked this question directly to Tiffin. They answered two of my three questions. The above question is the one they ignored.

I'm baffled! You might find a better support system at the DirecTV Forums for this specific kind of question.

Sorry I couldn't help

Do you have florcesent lights in the motor home when doing this test?

Try turning them off.. SOME florcesent lights cause issues with I/R remotes.

I discovered this back in teh sticks and bricks when I had a computer desk in the basement, I had a TV, and a CFL desk lamp.. There was a Radio Shack I/R extender controlling a VCR located elsewhere (This was years ago) and later a DVR replaced it.

IF the light shone on the Extender transmitter it would not work.
