I hate how much it cost for, basically, DSL speeds, but the turtle wins the race. Insty does have the potential to bond the two providers (SIMs), which would be WAY cool. 5G is also coming. StarLink, et al.

BTW, Check out LTEhacks on FB or ltehacks.com for good info.
I don’t think the Insty can bond two sims together as it only has one modem. It does however bond multiple channels on the same cell tower to get increased speed

Not yet. Nick has said he's working on it tho. I believe that the OpenWRT project has the capabilities.

Smile Lovin it!

Hey T,
We’ve been homeless for about a month or so now, mainly in SC and now NC. The Insty has been great.
Outside of Asheville, NC in Fletcher and right now I have 83% signal from TM with 88Mbps down and 10M up. The 100G, $50/mo plans from AT&T and TM have been working out great too… always have a signal from one or the other. Once I had to tether from my VZ phone, but I think that was just an odd fluke. In Zoom mtgs no one can tell that I’m not in a S&Bs or office.
Forgot to mention… this is with the InstyConnect in a cabinet in the bedroom! I have an expandable flagpole to mount it on, but I’ve not yet had such bad signal to force me to use it.
I am still waiting patiently for the 5G model, but until then the 4G unit is driving my work laptop, 3 tablets, a Roku (Netflix, YT, Amazon) and now a media PC flawlessly.
The one downside; Before moving to the 100G package from AT&T I hit my limit. It’s HARD! You’re shut off. No if, ands, or buts. With the 100G I feel a whole lot safer.
I hope that helps. I would highly recommend this unit. 5 out of 5 stars.

Depending on how much you want to pay for internet this could be a good unlimited option for you. I have been using it for almost 3 months now. No throttle down yet. https://unlimitedlteadvanced.com/ Until Star Link goes RVing for us this is about as good a plan as any. These guys are on par with Nomad except they don't charge a yearly membership fee. There support for issues was good when I needed them also. Something most others can't say.

Would love Unlimited, but… stability is more important.

Thanks JimT. It’s tempting, but unlimited is no good if I can’t get their signal. That’s why I have the 3 major carriers and one would hope some form of CG WiFi as backup to those, albeit slow.

They resell and use AT&T and Verizon . Not sure who else you would want?

With regards to the SIM being on the roof........... In order to change out SIMs, one has to get on the roof.

From my perspective, at their price point, there are better alternatives. If it's working for you, that's great.
