Guess I learned a new trick!

Only problem with the albums process is knowing what album you had the photo you wanted. I'm all for upgrades and am a bit of a techy when it comes to programming, but this one is not one I would have chosen. Wish I would have looked into it before I did it. You don't have to upgrade.

Aside from the photos, I also don't like the overbearing use of white in everything. Symbols are pencil thin and not bold as before in previous version.

There may be some pluses to this new version, but I haven't discovered them yet and likely are ones, I don't use or need.

No sense in complaining as the damage is done. I'll learn to live with it.
I just wanted to warn my compadres before they made the change.

Do your homework and then decide.

I love the iOS7 update. As with all change, there is a learning curve.

I remember going from my old brick cell phone (you know the one with the push buttons and long antenna that weighed more than a brick) to a small flip cell phone that fit in my pocket. I was always taking pictures of the inside of my pocket....

I hated going from Lotus 123 to Excel...

I usually don't like change, but more time than not, after I get used to the new method, I'd hate it more to go backwards...

At first, iOS7 was a little different, kind of disappointing ...... but after a very short time, I have grown to like it a lot. Didn't take long at all.

If you know the only way to get to water is by crawling on your knees over broken glass I guess you'll get use to the crawl. LOL.

I'll get used to IOS 7. Only because I don't have a choice.

Nuff complaining.

I hate it too, Les. I upgraded my iPhone 5 and was sorry immediately. Yesterday, I had to turn off messaging because I was getting messages from some goofball calling me "Dad." Then, responses that I DID NOT TYPE IN started appearing. Apparently, a 2-way conversation not meant for my phone was showing up on my messages.

I did change the fonts to BOLD, which helps make the display a little sharper. I'm glad I have NOT upgraded my iPad yet.

Fair warning!

I'll have to get used to it unfortunately.

The good and the bad

I like it.

We use my iPad as a hotspot fairly often. IOS 7 has fixed the problem of it shutting down and dropping connections.

I didn't like the photo view at first but I got used to it. Everything else took almost no getting used to.

You could always jailbreak the iPad and then use whatever photo viewer you like. Or even totally root it and run a standard android OS. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I'm being dragged by the hair kickin and screamin but I'm getting used to it. Amazing thing is how fast the battery use drops so fast with IOS 7. I've gone through and tweaked everything in the control panel and still drops fast. One thing to remember is when you double click now, it will show everything that's open and running. You used to hold your finger on it till it wiggled and then closed the page. Now it shows the full page and you Touch each page and swipe up and it closes the page. Those pages running in the background eat battery. I also learned to turn off Location GPS on sites that don't need it. That also eats battery life while apps constantly search your location. As well, App Updates, off for the ones you don't regularly use. You can always turn it on periodically for those.

I found Bukzin's link he posted above to be helpful. Thanks Bukzin!
