Is there a way for me to use my in motion dish with direcTV
I have a in motion dish circa 2015 and would like to use it to connect to direcTV.
I'm hoping to not need to upgrade to a Travler , are there any options or do I need to get a Travler dish?
Thanks in advance for any help.

What receiver? In motion implies you have a dome? Domes were only ever able to recieve Direct SD. And as I understand Direct dropped SD months ago. So the answer is basically NO!
Roof top dishes are so limited I would not consider one again. In 12 years and other than the 10 months we lived one place full time our Travler was rarely used. Got way more use out of my 200 dollar dish/tripod setup.

I tried DirecTV in my MH mostly because the rooftop dome antenna's dip-switches were set for DirecTV. I was not a happy camper. Could not get HD TV. Worse, I couldn't get local channels using the dome at all. So I bought a Dish Wally. All those problems went away! Getting HD now, and the locals too!

Didn't know that DirecTV SD is gone! Does that mean dome antennas are now worthless hood ornaments if you have DirecTV? I ditched DirecTV for Dish a long time ago... dunno any of this!

DirecTV is still transmitting in SD for dome antennas. As long as your antenna is properly configured for DirecTV and you are using a H24 receiver you should have no problems.

Better to call solid signal or Winegard. DirecTV reps won’t know what you are talking about.

I agree, Direct TV will not have a clue, I spent hours on the phone with them and then only minutes once I spoke with Winegard and their affliates.
