Kenwood KDC-C719 10 disk changer
Have this unit in an overhead cabinet. Have yet to be able to get the cassette holder to pop out. Have checked the connections at the unit and the manuals but still doesn't seem to be any way to get it to open, not even an emergency open button like on a CD player.
I don't get any lights on the unit but I'm not sure it has any either.
This is the first 10 disk changer we've had so learning as I go.
Ideas?

I had one of these on a previous motorhome. There is a cable that goes down to the RV radio. One time after a rough stretch of interstate it came out of its socket in the radio. If you can get a view of the back of the radio (maybe stick a cell phone up there and try to take a picture) you might find a solution to the dead changer. Oh ... if you get it to work ... the CD's had to go into the cassette label side down on mine.

I was afraid of that! CC built these things like a tank and quick dash access was not high on their list of priorities!
I did find two disconnected wires to a switch right next to the changer but they didn't have anything to do with the changer.
The dealer supposedly checked everything out, but after we signed the papers he told all he did was turn stuff on, if it started he didn't bother to check further. So obviously all he did was turn on the radio and never tried the changer. My fault, I trusted them too much.
Although truthfully we've never had a rig with a changer and have never gotten used to having one so I just might leave it for now.

I pulled the center dash panel off, only 4 screws, and pushed all the connections together, didn't seem to make a difference.
But today I went back out and tried it again while it was really quiet out. I could hear (I'm hearing impaired) a faint hum and click, even without my hearing aids, but the cassette still didn't move. Took my knife and pried (gently) on the cassette as I pressed the button. It came out and went back in every time I tried from then on. Guess it was jammed and just needed a little help. Next will be to load and test it.

Nope, it was a Benchmade Griptilian Tanto point!
Also got around to testing it and the changer works perfectly now. So another item off my to do list!
