My "new" 2005 Beaver Patriot Thunder has a Kenwood Stereo reciever mounted under the dash. It is tied to a 7" display with nav, radio, CD functions on the dash. The only way to power down the receiver is to crawl under dash and pull the 9 pin plug. When its powered on it hums and it has drained the house batteries??!!
Any ideas?

Here's a link to a Kenwood 7" GPS/multimedia receiver manual. According to the manual, they all can be turned off, but each model varies on how to do it. Kenwood DNX7180 | dnx7180 (pdf)
If all else fails, a switch spliced into the 12v power wire would shut it off for sure.
