Stay in a nicer park?
I never secure mine. Bigger things in life to worry about.

Have had some sort of dish since the 90's. Never had one even moved (except by wind on WA coast)

I always put ours on a little plastic folding table to keep it off the ground. Then, one night, the park we were staying at had 2 of the maintenance golf carts stolen. Since then, I've used a chain through the handle and draped over the lower leg brace of the table. Thieves are everywhere.

I have the old tripod from manual dish... modifies to accept a base plate. I want to be able to move in/out of the trees for clear line to satellite!! I do a ton of state parks and county parks. I'D rather be safe than sorry with securing it

I set my Winegard Pathway X2 on its tripod. It hasn't walked off yet

When I first got my tailgater, about 5 years ago, I was worried like you. I went to Walmart and in the pet section, I bought a wire coated 20 foot Dog stake out cable. Maybe 10 to 15 bucks? I cut off the un needed hardware and use the cable to attach the King to something secure. But it depends on the park, didn't use it at the last park I was at for 2 weeks. Remember you are only attaching to a plastic arm, so it's a deterrent at best.

Never had ours messed with. There is an alarm you can buy that will go off if it is unplugged. We have one but never use it.
