LCI Remote for Slides, Awing is dead

Hi all,
Hope this is the right place for this post. Our LCI remote for our Jayco Eagle HT 5th wheel that controls the slides and awning has a dead battery. We did not receive a charger when we purchased it. It looks like it has 3 tiny screws (either Philips or Allen wrench) - does anyone know if the batteries can be changed or if we will need to purchase the charger.
Should the charger have been included with the unit?

My LCI remote has the screws and it does take batteries. The batteries really don't last very long, so I've quit using the remote. Walmart and others sell the replacement batteries for them.
