Magnadyne 4-LCD radio

Here’s a stumper (for us, anyway). We have a 2012 Monaco with what we assume is a factory installed Magnadyne M4-LCD radio. We cannot get the Bluetooth feature to work. We have the manual, and have followed the instructions. Turn the radio on, press the Bluetooth button, watch our phones for MAGM4LCD to come up on the screen. Wait and wait, reboot the phones, still don’t see MAGM4LCD. Get this: we TURN OFF the Magnadyne radio and suddenly MAGM4LCD pops up on both of our phones as discoverable!! Click it, enter the password as instructed in the manual, and we are CONNECTED to a radio that is turned OFF! I play a song from my phone. Silence from the rig’s speakers. Turn the Magnadyne on, and the status of the device on my phone turns to Not Connected!!! What the actual heck?! How can that be??
