Minimal shore power - when only 115v is available
Just spent the weekend parked at a relative's farm. We were able to run an extension cord from an outside 115 outlet into the MH thru an open window. OK this time of year - not ideal once the mosquitos are more active.
I have been casually thinking of running a 115v (15 or 20A) power cord from the breaker box out to the shore power compartment. I would selectively turn on only a few breakers to be able to stay within the supply amperage. This concept would be in place of running the inverter or the generator. I realize I would be bypassing the MH built in surge protector. Anyone done something similar?
