Band selection is automatic and probably picks the best one.

That is the issue there Only band 4 has decent bandwidth the devices pic band 2 or 12 which is very limited at least there.

But i shall see.

Now next topic the wireless on the 826 is not great even being on top of it. The speeds are slower 1/3 that of being directly connected.

So with that said i think it would be necessary to connect to another wireless router for better performance on that front.

Just Google "apn by carrier" or "apn servicename" as in "apn Verizon".

http://ofmodemsandmen.com/download/serviceproviders.xml
list most i think. But someone who has configured this would know what settings they have used.

i am curious for those using the 826 what wireless(wifi) settings they are using i have yet to found any that really work well as far as the presented speed.

The direct connection has been much faster 2 to 4 times faster.

How about this guy? https://smile.amazon.com/KuWFi-802-1...6973741&sr=8-3
It's based on the WG3526
My completely untrained eye cannot tell what kind of modem it has, but it does have the duel band wifi.

We live in a pretty small home. We discovered that some signals were cancelling other signals out and this directly effected our Wifi. Our problem was with a home wireless (not a cell) phone. There is an android app where you can see what wireless signals are going on around you. The customer support agent suggested we turn off out 5ghz wifi and it helped. The kiwi doesnt have 5ghz wifi but other wireless signals maybe interfering with your 2.4ghz signal. If your router is a cat6 then the wifi should be fast as well. A suggestion would be to change the wifi channel to a less crowded channel instead of using the auto channel selection.

This has the EC25-AF Mini PCIe cell modem made by Quectel. It looks very fast.

Now we just need to figure out which eternal cell antennas to select along with some compatable low loss cables. I think the KiWFi antenna cables need to be 50 ohm. Anyone else know for sure?

It would depend if cell carrier bands the ToGo sim card uses are available with this modem/router model. There are specific bands that the sim will need to be able to see. ToGo should have the info on which bands it uses. I heard that ToGo was AT&T.
News update for ToGo plans:

At some point lower orbiting satellites will make internet accessible while remotely boondocking. Looking forward to this. https://youtu.be/rroLzV4V4Jk
