Need info on using Verizon Jetpack for internet, HELP, LOL
it's going to cost me a bundle so a little nervous, but I could most always have 4G service wherever I travel, so Verizon says. Anyone experience with this service please write me here, so appreciate it, Denise
Any advice on other types of web service that would work in out-of-the-way places as well? I am up at West Glacier MT for the Summer Denise

We have the Verizon Jet Pac. We use it for all or our internet access, at home and while traveling. We live in an area where our only other viable option for fast internet access was satellite (Hughes Net) and we wanted something we could also use on the road.
So far, it has worked well. For now, our travels with the Jet Pac have been limited to the east coast. I am told it will work wherever there is Verizon service. It does support up to 5 devices.
We bundled it with our two Verizon smart phones. We have unlimited call minutes and text messaging and 8gig of data for about $165 per month.

We bought the Verizon jet pac for use at home and on the road traveling. Eventhough it's advertised that it will support 5 devices, we had significant issues (SLOW) when more than 1 device was online. Told Verizon thank you letting us try it, but No thank you for the service. We kept our land-line phone use it for internet only and use our phones as hotspot when traveling.

We have this service also and have found that the rural areas such as state parks away from cities sometimes have a very low signal strength (one or two bars). The service works great with a maximum of two devices (lap top and iPad).

Instead of another item to pack around I use my phone as a wifi hotsopt. Works just the same and no additional service contracts above what I already have. Might compare costs both ways, basic cell phone and jetpack or smart phone.

Verizon 4G service doesn't have to cost a bundle -- just go with Millenicom's $69.99 Novatel Hotspot plan which gives you 20GB/month using Verizon's 4G network.
Plus, you can start and stop service anytime. No contracts.

I use to use Hughs net but gave it up as to much trouble and to many upgrades that reduced it usability as one traveled. Now use the Verizon jet pack w3ith two cell phones. It has worked very well as we have traveled around the west. The 4G is only in certain places but when you have it it is great. The rest of the time when we are in the country the 3G works ok. Mainly use it for bill paying when the bars are low. I only have 5 gigs for downloading each month but I have never gone over so far. Very happy with the service,

We use Verizon Jetpack in the US and Bell Aircard when in Canada. We find the speed varies depending on your location. It is what it is. We are happy with it.

Same here. I use padanet with foxfi at junefabrics.com so my hotspot hookup has no monthly fee.
