You didn't mention Winegard

KVH normally isn't mentioned for RV, but rather for Boats/Yacht's
It's for in-motion viewing
Also, KVH is very high-end, cost wise

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish but you can get King or Winegard stationary Dome Dish for DISHnet or DirectTV at a fraction of the cost.
can be mounted on roof or used as a ground-mount to achieve better sat access when in tree'd area.
Note that the Dome Dish limits you to viewing 1 satellite at a time, so you are not able to record any programming you are not viewing.

Personally, I really like my roof-mount Winegard Hybrid Travler for DISHnet. It functions just like my antenna at home.
Winegard also makes a Travler model for DirectTV

Others on this Forum prefer the Mogul roof-mount product.

Good luck with your search.

Installed a KVH about 3 years ago. It works wonderfully and I love to turn on the unit and walk away knowing that it is going to tune in. I had a carry out before the KVH. I hope that I never have to go back

Note that if you're looking for DirecTV you'll need an open dish - the domes will not receive the DirecTV HD signal.

We're lookin at replacing our 15-year-old KVH R4 dome and I'm leaning toward the RF Mogul dish - it costs a bit more than the Winegard dish, but it's field-repairable rather than having it shipped back to the manufacturer, and from reviews I've seen it appears to be sturdier than the Winegard, especially in high winds. And it's got a cool blue light to light up the dish at night.

I hope this doesn't hijack this thread, but the wife and I were just talking about this today. Our coach has the original 2005 era dish on the roof, which we're told is incompatible with any available equipment today and therefore unusable junk. What can I expect to pay for a new Winegard Traveller (Dish network) dish fully installed? Hopefully this queston contributes to the original thread.

For 10+ years i used the dish tailgater with a 211k receiver. Earlier this year at the FMCA my tailgater saw the end of its life.

There were several sat dealers at the show and i got the winegard traveler installed on the roof. $1000 installed out the door. This dish is compatable with my home dish hopper. I shut down the 211k and tested my hopper when home, easy peasy. Not all that hard of a job to install as per youtube videos. Sometimes it just pays to let the pros do it.

Really a pleasure getting a signal while i set up and i have the same remote and channels i have at home. Especially now that were on a multi month trip.

Amazon has the best price for the Winegard Hybrid Travíler @ $1500+/-
Install by a mobile tech can run as high as $1000, but you might be able to pay less if you have your roof & access ports ready, and a clear path to where your receiver(s) are located.

Bottomline...itís just screws and sealant for the 40# unit in the location that works best
The rest is running the 2 lines thru the roof access port and sealing up.
Then running the cables to the receiver(s).

That is, you do not need a DISHnet specialist.

We have DISH at home and have a Winegard DISH satellite on the MH. Bought a Wally for the MH and connected to the DISH. Beings we have DISH at home, their is no other charges for DISH in the MH.

We pay approx. $160 per month for DISH TV service, 250 channels I believe.

OH. I like watching the satellite dish scan for the different satallites. Kind of cool I think. Do I need help there?, LOL
