This past week was the first time I got to try out my 32" LED TV install in a real world, (camp park) situation. I hooked up to the park cable and realized I needed to do the do the channel scan on the TV, (but I did it for the antenna). I had the switcher box switched to cable though. I found several digital stations and some analogue stations. When I watched the digital HD stations, I was getting a great picture, but some occasional pixilation and sound breaks. It took me a few days to realize that I need to have the switcher box on Antenna and then do the channel scan on the TV for antenna. After I did that, I got great pictures on the digital HD stations with no pixilation. I watched a Nova show on PBS, (HD) that was stunning in it's clarity and right off the batwing antenna. I also did the TV setup, (channel scan) on the cable setting, but all it had was SD stations. This might sound confusing to a lot of folks. Want I discovered is that I need to set the switcher box to either Cable or Antenna, and then do the channel search for either Cable or Antenna. At least that's what I found. Call me a very happy camper. Oh and the Phillips sound bar with Sub-woffer made for a great experience.

Are you sure the RV park cable offers HD? Most don't in my experience - at least not yet.

So far, I have visited only one park that had HD cable.

Sorry to mislead, the HD was coming over the batwing Antenna, not the park cable.

I also enjoy HD antenna in my coach. I installed a new HD antenna and everywhere we go we get great reception and HD TV.

Has anyone installed the wingman to the batwing antenna? Does it help with reception?

Winegard Wingman - Winegard RV-WING - Over-the-Air Antennas - Camping World
It will if the OTA channels you're trying to get are in the high UHF range. It won't if they're not. The problem is that it's not obvious what the actual frequency is until you do the scan. The advertised "channel" for a station is probably not the frequency anymore.

You can use something like AntennaPoint.com - Antenna Locator to find out what the actual RF frequency is for the stations near you. If they're mostly above 20 or 25, it'll help.
