NEW Xite Map Updates.
I'm not exactly sure what this email means. I think it means there is one more FREE update but that after that they will charge for maps - but they don't come out and say that. Maybe they are saying no more map updates after this at all. What do you think?
Someone the other day said the downloaded 5gbs of new map data on their Dock program the other day.
Dear Rand McNally RV GPS Customers,
Well, we've almost reached our destination.
Your in-dash RV navigation software is eligible for a map update, which we're very happy to get to you in advance of the summer travel season. Unfortunately, as RV navigation updates have become more data-heavy and technically complex over the years, this will be the last update for your device. Please see below for installation instructions.
We will continue to support your RV navigation software via the Rand McNally Dock, which will allow you to download and install the updated map data. Additional services via the Dock will remain operational, such as the Repair function. For additional support, please visit our Support Center.
We've enjoyed traveling with you and wish you much happiness down the road.
Sincerely,
Rand McNally

New Owner and need update
I just bought a 2018 Winnebago View from my parents. I don’t believe that the maps have been updated since they bought the RV new. Can someone tell me the best way to get the latest (and it appears LAST) maps offered by Rand McNally and if I can load the latest iteration without having to load all of the preceding versions?

You have to download the RAND DOCK program and install it on your computer.
Then take the SD card from your RV and install it in a SD Card reader on your computer.
Then start the DOCK and it should connect to Rand McNally website and you should see "New Map Updates Available" in a box on the Dock program.
Then update the SD card with your new maps and put the SD card back into your Xite radio.
You won't need to get past updates. The new update is all you need. You may also see software updates available. Do the Maps first and then do the Software if the box is still highlighted after you do the Maps updates.
