It's a curiosity to me. Since I got my EVDO-capable cell phones and VZ aircard in June '07 we've been up and down and across the USA and usually have a broadband signal unless we are really out in the boonies.

A few days ago we were in Oklahoma City and there was no EVDO signal at all. What's up with that? Why wouldn't you find that in such a large metro area as OKC? As we travelled up I-44 toward Tulsa I again had EVDO.

We stayed in the KOA adjacent to the casino. I think it was called Tulsa East? All I remember is that it was a dust bowl!

WOW...It looks like you should have coverage if I look at at this map...

Frank didn't say he didn't have coverage, just that he didn't have EVDO coverage.

The map to which you gave the link is for voice...if you click on the circle in front of "Broadband and V CAST," and then Refresh the map, you'll see where OKC is in Verizon's "Extended Enhanced Services" area.

Here is Verizon's Broadband coverage map.

I was there last week, staying at the Roadrunner RV Park. All I could get was Verizon roaming, using an aircard with roof antenna and amp, so I'd agree-the service sucks!

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>I'm a little late getting back to this post, but I must thank Linda for pointing out the maps of other coverages. Seems like when I don't have EVDO there's wi-fi available at the CG. It has really not been much of a problem on our travels.

Thanks, Linda
