Only receiving 2 Local TV channels

A friend of mine is only receiving 2 local TV channels on his front TV in his 5th wheel. The bedroom TV works fine. Any ideas? He is hooked up to satelite TV also which is working fine.

Hi Stano
I have noticed this too at times. One factor is simply that one TV is closer to the antenna than the other. It's strange depending on your proximity to stations. (Sometimes) the TV furthest from the antenna works better. Literally because the length of cable from antenna to TV is longer on say bedroom TV, and the cable itself acts as more antenna believe it or not.

I have rarely had all of my TVs ever bring in the exact same amount of antenna stations at the same time. When I'm in a more remote area, it's always one or another of the TVs that does better than the other ones. Close to a city broadcasting 45 over the air channels all TVs kick butt pretty good.

Hope I'm helping not hindering....take care, and thanks for your service to our country.

W.D.

Oh by the way, if this hasn't been done already.....check the antenna coax for snugness of back of TV in question. Keep all connections tight.

Forgot to mention that

Did you run a scan for the local channels on the TV, if you don't the TV will not see all the stations that are there.

When you say his His front TV is only receiving 2 local channels while thr bedroom TV is "working fine".... do you mean his bedroom TV receives more OTA channels than his front TV does?

If so I suspect the coax FROM his "distribution box", (or "antenna amp" or "coax splitter", whichever he has), TO the front TV set is faulty or disconnected.
