Opinions on internet on the go

Hey all, I've poked around the forum and have done some independent research. Currently I'm stationary and have fiber coming into the trailer; However, we are probably going to be on the move again come the beginning of next year. Prior to being stationary(Living full-time rv) we had a hotspot setup with our provider t-mobile. I was considering buying a peplink router and running dual sims(t-mobile, and another account), then connecting it to our winegard 360+ antenna that came with the RV.

What I wanted to know, gauge your opinion on was... For those on the go and use peplink devices using 5g/LTE did you find it was capable of keeping up with internet demands? Understandably streaming/video gaming takes a lot of resources. My son will be starting school soon and I'll most likely be teaching him from home, so having internet that's relatively reliable would be nice.

I guess that does bring another question to mind, can the peplink devices act like a repeater and pickup wifi signal from provided campgrounds?

Sorry about the long-winded question, and thank you,

Chris

Chriscool,
I am a full timer since December, 2019.
I purchased my Peplink Max Transit CAT-18 back in May, 2020. I use AT&T & Verizon data only plans.
I have been very pleased with the performance of this device. If you obtain the correct plan from your cellular provider, setup is a no brainer.

I have noticed no significant degradation in internet performance from what I was obtaining in my sticks & bricks residence with a cable ISP.

Until you get into streaming media (netflix, amazon prime. etc), data consumption is not excessive. Streaming movies will consume a bunch of data very quickly.

As of this writing, it's my understanding the Peplink Max Transit 5G capable devices have not yet been certified by AT&T or Verizon. This lack of certification can present some issues if you want to use one of their data plans.

The Mobile Internet Resource Center & the Peplink forum are good sources of information to help you select what product will be best for you needs.

The device I have allows me to receive & distribute RV Park WIFI.

Thank you! I'll probably end up going that route, and I've heard good things about ATT's service as well.
