Just got this e-mail from OTR Mobile - Check your e-mail

This month OTR Mobile introduced the new Blast plan, which will provide more stable coverage for our customers. These changes and transitions have increased wait times. We apologize for the frustration that you may have experienced. We acknowledge your issues, and are currently implementing an action plan as noted below. We look forward to addressing our customers' concerns and will be working diligently to provide quality customer service.

Action Plan:
Lowering the introductory cost of the Blast plan from $70 to just $60 a month for all existing Legacy customers through May 15, 2020.
Waiving all unlock fees for existing customers regardless of where the device was purchased*.
Shipping SIM cards at no cost to all existing customers. Customers can also buy a new, unused postpaid SIM card locally that we will also activate at no charge.
Onboarding more staff to increase our ability to service customers in a timely manner. The outcome of the additional staff is to decrease wait times.
We will continue to offer low rates for truly unlimited data, including no data caps.
Thursday, March 19, 2020, we will be adding a Blog page to our website for the latest news and updates. OTRmobile.com/news
Effective immediately:

We can no longer guarantee customers the renewal of the Legacy plan. This means your plan can turn off at any time and no refunds for lost days of service will be given. Due to this, we are encouraging everyone to upgrade to our new Blast plan. If you purchased service before March 1, 2020, you are a Legacy plan customer. Many of our Legacy customers are experiencing unstable network service. Due to this unfortunate circumstance outside of our control, we are offering to upgrade every Legacy customer to Blast at no additional monthly cost until May 15, 2020. This means you will now get the stability of America's fastest-growing GSM network at no additional cost for two months. For those customers who switched from Legacy to Blast, we will be offering a prorated credit making the monthly cost only $60 until May 15, 2020.

Existing Legacy customers with active subscriptions can upgrade for free online at: Upgrade to Blast

Existing customers that need to start a new subscription can also upgrade online here: Upgrade to Blast with Subscription

New product information: For Existing Legacy Customers
Both of these new products will include:
sending you a new Blast SIM card at no cost. Please allow 3-7 business days for shipping and processing.
You can also get a SIM card locally, and we can activate it.
You must be an existing Legacy customer for these options.
New customers can:
Purchase the Blast Plan for $80 per month. (The price was going to increase after April 1, 2020. We have suspended that price increase as well)
New customers can sign up at $80 a month, and we will continue to offer that price until further notice.

No thanks on $80 a month, more or less. I'll just stick with Visible unlimited at $25 a month.

Agree if you only need one access point or can live with their limits. Some of us need higher performance. and not likely to unplug anytime soon

That the one that I missed out on - Just be carefully with that one you may need a backup plan - ATT appears to be on the war path right now.

Looks like I will be giving T-Mobile a try. With the option of keeping AT&T not really available I have no choice. That is the way it goes with a reseller of data, I've been through this a few times in the past.

Thanks for all the responses.

We have had OTR for three months now. It has been somewhat acceptable for the most part. We got the notice that we have to pay $20 more or lose the service and money. We are not happy but can see no better option so we will probably just accept the loss and take the new service. Does anyone know if it is still unlimited?

We are geting over the Corona and self quarantined in Organ Pipe Cactus Nat Monument and will move to the nearby BLM soon. There are no actual cities with stores for quite a distance and we don't know how to get the new card since the park office is closed and we have no local address. We can't seem to get in touch with OTR either. How have you done it?

I was able to get in touch with OTR using the Live Chat several days ago. It took an hour or more to get to the front of the queue but once I got there the rep was very helpful. I decided to go with a T-Mobile SIM since they couldn't promise that AT&T would be around for any length of time.

They will try to re-ping the SIM and after that they offer to switch you to T-Mobile. Love that they haven’t sent out anything to customers [emoji1361]!

With AT&T I was getting around 15-30mbs in Valdosta, GA and when we were in Panama Beach, FL I was seeing around 125mbs.

Awaiting the T-Mobile replacement SIM for my AT&T SIM.
Phone? You got a phone number? Please let us know how to do that. Chat does not work here due to poor internet from OTR

I have been trying to get on the chat for hours but it keeps flashing from Agents are not available to the fill in info screen and back to not available before I can enter. The link to a page to upgrade goes nowhere either.
