Peplink Transit Duo

Now this is a thing of beauty. Connected to 2 cellular and 2 wifi connections, and with SpeedFusion, I get the aggregated bandwidth of all. This transit Duo is awesome.

Mine just shipped today, can't wait. I'm excited to dive into this beast.

Are you using an external antenna (which one)?

Nice, If I ever need to replace my Cradlepoint it will be a Peplink. The Max Transit Duo has some great features!

Good to know. I was looking at the Poynting 7 in 1 last night and I think I've landed on it as the best option for my needs.

I've been holding off on the purchase to see if I can get ahold of something with band 71 support so as to not be tempted to upgrade in another year or two, but who knows when they'll be available.

Which modems did you get?

It kills me that they didn't update the Duo for band 71 when they refreshed the product line in February. In 2020, your modem is obsolete if doesn't support TMobile's long-range band for rural areas. We moved around all winter and I saw a lot of band 71 on my phone. It's out there, it's real, and it's getting more and more common.

rvneil - thanks. you just gave me a great idea. I upgraded from a transit mini. It does support band 71. I can put my tmobile card in it and use wifi to add it to my connections.

It looks like the latest "MAX-TST-GLTE-G-T-PRM" does support band 71.

I already have a BR1-MK2 but really want 2 modems at this point. Don't need it right now but definitely looking to upgrade to the Duo.

Yep. The Max (single 4G LTE/3G) supports 71, but the Duo's do not currently. Not sure when the Duo will get updated.

Cradlepoint does have some dual-modem units too, and with their MC400 packaging of the modem, you can put 1200B units in there that both support band 71, and do so today without waiting for a complete new unit.

That said, I'm currently only single modem and still playing around with antennas. It's annoying how few of the XXX-in-1 style are designed to support band 71 / down to 620Mhz!

Can you use ethernet out from the transit mini to the WAN on the transit duo? Does the transit duo allow for 5 live connections (two cellular, two wifi, and one ethernet)?

What data plan do you have for tmobile? I have Verizon and att, adding tmobile band 71 would be a nice compliment
