We have both Verizon and AT&T.

As soon as the AT&T contract runs out we will only have Verizon. In my travels, Verizon has the best coverage. We also use Verizons, mobile broadband for internet when on the road.

Verizon would be my choice of carrier (and it is). On the phone, we don't use phone for tethering...don't need the phone to do any more than make telephone calls...so I don't know anything about any of the "smart" phones.

Verizon hands down!

The Droid Incredible because it is! But I hear the Droid X is bigger and slightly better.

Verizon! Can't say which phone since I don't know what is currently offered. But, if I didn't like what was available, I would also consider buying an older phone with what was important to me (like an antenna port) on ebay and having Verizon activate it.
