Pigtail For Starlink Gen 3 Antenna.

It looks like connecting and disconnecting the Gen 3 antenna cable would be a hassle with a pole mount. And doesn’t look any better with the ground mount provided. It seems doing this daily or every few days while on the move might eventually wear out or break the connector.

Is it ok to use a short pigtail to plug into the antenna (probably less than 10 inches long)and leave there and then connect the longer cable between the pigtail and router? I realize connections would need to water tight.

You want a waterproof shielded connector.

Here is an example that works good:

I use this pigtail on my dish. I use Starlink at home as well as in both RVs when we go on the road. This pigtail stays with the dish. I’ve only been using it 3 months…so far it works well.
