Have had lots of issues staying connected with this mifi however, still waiting on a firmware update to fix their issues

that's interesting to know thank you. The ratings & reviews had tbe early on. Reports were waaaay to glowing talking about 18hrs+. Maybe they consider time when the device is just sitting not used overnight as useful battery life.

I would like to ask probably a very simple question. We are heading out on our first extended trip (wife finally retires in June). I intend to plug the jetpak in the same plug as the TV. So the jetpak will only charge when the investor is on, generator is on or plugged into shore power. Will this charge be sufficient? Secondly, did you change your phone plan with VZ to eliminate the data portion? Third question, I’m assuming you still need a data plan when away from the RV. Any help is appreciated, before I talk to them.

Since you don't specify which Jetpack you have it's difficult to respond to your question. I use a rapid charger on my 7730L and I have it on a schedule that charges it 4 hours in the morning and 5 in the evening.
No, I didn't change my phone plan since I use the phone for all sorts of things when away from the RV. For example, how would you use Google Maps Navigation in the car if you didn't have a data plan? Or how would you listen to Pandora or Spotify while driving?

I haven’t bought one yet, just doing the investigation at this time to determine if it is worth it.

Docj I was wondering if you could expand upon the smart wifi outlet. I was about ready to order the timer nerkey posted, but got to thinking a lot of the time we travel during the day, and would have to reset the timer every night when we have power. Now I am wondering if a non digital one might not be better.

If you don't have power, obviously the wifi-enabled outlet won't work, but it will start working again when power is restored. Our MH has a whole-house inverter which keeps most of the outlets powered while we drive, so we can keep everything working even while we are in transit
The outlets we're using are these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
