Rand McNally 7730
I see Rand came out with a new 7730. Anyone know the difference between this one and the older 7720? Is it worth the extra money?

My first trial run with my new 7720, it could'nt get me home from 2mi away when I was already driving on the road I live on, pointed towards my house ! Wanted me to turn off, then onto a road that has never been punched thru, so all it is, is a mountain bike trail!
Chances of me giving them more $..............ZILCH!!

I'm with you, but off topic. Start a new thread, let's see what comes up. Google Maps?

Clarion model NX501. We are even having trouble trying to figure out how to change the radio stations.

I feel your pain. One of the first things I did after getting married over 40 years ago, was give remotes and phone calls to my bride. If she can't figure it out, we go without.
Now, for some reason, she's bucking the system with anything touch screen. Says it bothers her fingernails...and they scratch the screen.
FWIW, touch screen seems easier to learn after a few beers. You're calm, and the intuitive part becomes more apparent.

Does ANY GPS have the capacity to learn a new route?
Our home is best reached by going one way (well-travelled, well-known, paved county road). Neither Smart phones, my Garmin, or my older Magellen point us that way...so I continue down the road, software recalculates and still wants us to turn when we never go that way. We override several times.
Are there any GPS units that will save that route and...next time... detent to the override path you're chosen?

Don't feel bad, the $1,000 GPS in my new Acura does the same. It will also turn a 300 mile trip into 400.
