Remove old Satellite Dish dome
Hi there everyone,
DW and I have a 2003 Allegro Bus. On the roof is the satellite dome that was originally installed when the unit was built. These model of Dish equipment does not work with the new satellite systems. We'd like to remove the dish and dome and replace it with new equipment. I've tried to use a putty knife to break the seal, but it seems a little resistant. Is a putty knife the right way to go at this, or should I choose another approach? The roof is a fiberglass roof.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Respectfully,
Eric Anderson

Breaking the seal, (and removing old sealant from a fiberglass roof), is much easier with an Oscillating Multi-Tool with a scrapper blade attached than it is with a putty knife.

Your installation may be different but, I removed ours but left the mounting rails. They might come in handy one day and no putty scraping!!
