Replace Sony with??

Want to replace the Sony large clunker with something maybe smaller and newer. Model number STR-DH520. In a 2013 Ventana so a little technology dated.

Don't want to replace the speakers (although I probably should). There was a member here a while ago named NeilC who added a long thread about a replacement with a Marantz receiver. Looked for that thread and could not find it.

Looked on-line for Marantz and they all seem to have WAY more capability than I could use. 11.2 surround and the like. AND they are PRICEY. I just want to do a plug and play and not redo everything. The present system is a 5.2 (L&R - front and back - Center channel and sub-woofer which has never worked as far as I can tell)

Does anyone have a suggestion for a one for one replacement? Marantz or another brand is fine with me. Just have heard good things about Marantz over the years, but it will also be only as good as the speakers I have in the coach anyway.

Not an expert by anyones imagination.
Your MH is not acoustically made for the best of sounds anyway so I don't think I would worry about getting a top of the line amp. arrant is just that, top of the Line.
Newer models that are less expensive have smaller than the older ones and more powerful.
Best Buy salesmen are pretty knowlegable and can help with what you want.
Then buy from Amazon or other place.

In 2019 I replaced the Sony unit in my 2016 DSDP with a Pioneer VSX S520. It was a straight swap and has worked well for me.

OP here. Good advice. Thanks for the tip on Pioneer. Have used Best Buy for research before. Sometimes they also have the best prices and if in-stock will go that route.
