RV Trip Wizard routes

I am wanting to transferring a route from RV Trip Wizard to the Kenwood DNX570TR in Dash GPS. After doing a search, I couldn't find any information on how to do this. I contacted RV Trip Wizard support asking on how to do this.

This is the reply that I received. We have two export to GPS options: .gpx and .csv My built-in Rand McNally GPS has an SD card that is removable and that is plugged into my laptop to load a .csv file, then the SD card is put back into the in-dash GPS.

I haven’t tried this method; I am leery about messing up the program. I would like to know if the members think this method would work. Also, if you have transferred a route to the dash GPS how did you do the transfer? I also posted this on the Tiffin board to see if anyone on that board has done this.

It's been a while since I exported a gpx file to a GPS (I used a Garmin a while back) but it was straight forward. Export out the GPX file, copy it to the SD card and put it in your GPS. Now depending on the GPS you may have to put it in a certain folder name on the SD card or you may not. That's up to your Kenwood where it wants it on the sd card.

Thanks for the post, using the instructions from RV Trip Wizard I installed our trip on two different model Rand McNally GPS with not problem. I will look at the instructions on exporting to a Garmin. I think it will be like updating the maps in a dash model Garmin.
