Satellite Dish solar outage

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a dish Tailgater Pro and 211 Receiver to receive satellite programming. I'm at an RV park outside of Chula Vista California not far from the Mexican border. I'm having trouble using the satellite during the daytime. As soon as the sun comes over the hill my satellite goes out and I cannot reconnect all day. Does anybody have any ideas about this. Looking on the internet I see some information about solar outages near the spring and fall equinox. They say outages should last 10 minutes or so but we seem to be down completely all day. Is this a normal occurrence or is it something tied to my satellite dish. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you

I have experiences this problem with microwave systems. If you were to have a larger receiving antenna the issue may still occur but only for a short period. You need more signal strength to the receiver.

The only time that you would receive sun interference is when the satellite is between the dish and sun. This alignment only happens a couple of times a year and then it is only a couple of minutes. You have something else causing your weak signal.
