Satellite TV Signal To Each Television

I finally got my Dish 211z receiver up and operating yesterday. Works great on the television above the cockpit and in the living area.
I have no satellite signal to the television in the bedroom or the outside television.

So far, I have not figured out a way to get the satellite signal to these two televisions.
My MH is a 2014 Fleetwood Providence. I see hook-ups in the cabinet under the bedroom television. Does the bedroom television require it's own receiver?
What about the outside television?

Replies Appreciated

TD

I would guess you probably need a second receiver. Our friends have a brand new Fleetwood Excursion 40X and the four TVs are connected two and two. In other words, they can use a satellite receiver on two of the TVs, but not on all four at once. To get satellite on the other two they were told it would take a second receiver.

Hmmm... That's kinda what I suspected. The worst problem would be an additional $7 per month to Dish

Satellite TV to each TV

The answer is it depends on how your coach is wired.

My coach (2014 Allegro Open Road) has 4 TVs and I can get satellite on all 4 TVs with one receiver (all same channel). Same with DVD player. Sat signal is HDMI1 on each TV and DVD is HDMI2 on each TV. We can have Sat on 1 TV; DVD on 1 TV; and OTA TV on other 2 TVs. I believe the system is wired with HDMI splitters and HDMI cable runs; it could have HDMI over CAT5/6.

You need to determine how your coach TV distribution is setup before you can define what needs to be done to meet your desires.

If you want a different Sat channel on different TVs, you will have to have more than one receiver, and then you have to have an antenna that supports what you want to do.

Sat TV Issues

Just went thru the same problems on my Unit , you need to get rid of the 211z tuner, and get a 211k receiver from Amazon , they are the earlier version of the 211z unit, if you call Dish , they will tell you they are not available any more , but you can get new ones still on Amazon for 85$ , the reason you use this tuner, is it has 2 outputs one HDMI , and a cable coax output. Just feed the HDMI to the front TV and the coax to your distribution box and you can have Sat on all TVs , but all will have the same channel. For diff channels on other TVs you will need to use to Tuners.

Can you tell us what connections are on the back of your bedroom and outside TVs? If you only have coax then your options are limited. If you have coax and HDMI you have other options.

I am not sure what the connections are for the outside television, but in the cabinet below the television in the bedroom there is a coax connection and there are two HDMI cables in that cabinet.
The bedroom television already has a HDMI cable plugged in the back and I get OTA television signal.... not sure if I get a signal from the DVD player.

It sounds like the DVD might come through the HDMI since the OTA is coax. If you can find the feed for the HDMI you use that to feed the satellite to the TVs. There should be a splitter somewhere.

tv reception will also be affected by the type of satellite dish you have.....we have the winegard in-motion dome.......living room tv controls what channels you can get in the bedroom.............so you can watch different channels of each tv, but those channels must be available on the same satellite........next time, I will get the antenna that looks like the home satellite, folds down..........you can pick up multiple satellites with that one...........................
