Seeing double pictures

I have a 2000 MH and recently replaced the TV's with LCD's.
However now when I play a movie in the DVD player I get double pictures of the same image on the front TV. They are also only in Black and White.
I by-passed the junction boxes that direct the signal from the antenna and the DVD player etc. and hooked the DVD player directly to the TV with the same results. Any idea why this would happen? I think the DVD player is original so it is 12 years old..

Are you using S-Video, Composite Video or HDMI ( HDMI probably not if your player is 12 years old)

If using S-Video it is highly possible that the pin that carries the color signal is bent or pushed in too far.

The signal from the DVD player is the three wire (white red yellow) connectors that go to the back of the diverter box which changes everything to standard Cable coax. The TV receives all signals Antenna, DVD, Aux via the cable input.

However I did try hooking the TV up directly to the DVD player and could not get a signal at all.

The white, red, yellow connectors are White = Left Audio, Red = Right Audio, Yellow = Composite video.

When you hooked it up direct did you change the TV to the proper input? If not then look at your remote for a INPUT button and then select the proper input. If no input button you will need to go to the MENU and select the proper sequence to change the input.
