SIM-free technology for wifi access

Hello all, was at the Tampa RV 2022 show and saw a new product that uses all major cell towers to access wifi. the product is called Journey1 from travlfi. Looks very interesting for us traveling RV'ers. My question is has anyone tried this technology? and do you like it? Price is $220 for the unit, the re-pay by the month for date plan 2 to 800 GG... any early adopters of technology used this, I'm on the fence and need a little push. lol

Their plans are really expensive. You can get an unlimited plan or two for less money and have just as good coverage.

I've used 387GB for the last 30 days and it costs me $25/mo using Visible.

One key point noted in that article is that the "hotspot" device being provided is a relatively low end one that lacks a number of bands for one or more of the major US cellular carriers.

It sounds as if they're making a big deal about the fact that they provide service on multiple carriers without specifying much detail their service.
