Low latency, high bandwidth, widespread coverage - sounds good. What will the price be? Will the government let the growth of the Starlink constellation continue? Astronomers are already seeing the constellation interfere with their observations. Will/can the impact of thousands of more objects in low earth orbit be tolerated just for the convenience of fast internet?

Having said that, are there things that SpaceX can do to reduce the impact of hundreds to tens of thousands more low earth orbit objects? Yes. Will SpaceX do this on their own or will there be new regulations? Too early to tell.

Do we all really need always connected fast internet? Maybe at some point we just have to make a value decision and just say no to some of the technology.

I think it all depends on pricing, as to the professional astronomers complaints, they will tend to shut up if Elon Musk offers to launch a couple of space telescopes for them for free.
