Starlink flagpole mounting question

I decided to jump in and try this Starlink thing. Really going to look hard at it during this 30 day money back period. I’m definitely saving the box.

I’m bouncing around Colo, Wyo, and the MidWest. Trees are the obvious issue.

I see lots about mounting Dishy on Harbor Freight or Flag Pole Buddy poles. I can’t find a Harbor Freight that has a flagpole to look at and evaluate.

I have a sturdy but pricey Titan flagpole I like. The top of the pole is about 2 in O.D. and it has a 3/8” threaded cap hole. Has anybody found a mount that works on a Titan brand flagpole? I saw a machine shop selling a few types on Etsy that might work. I bought the flagpole at the Tampa RV show from BnD Flagpoles.

Flagpole buddy has a mount, but I don't think it fits your size pole, check on their website. I also bought the Starlink universal mount, and its big enough to fit most any pole combinations you could put together. Maybe not as elegant as a custom made, but it will allow you to make changes to mount systems easily. BTW, my HF flagpole failed in 40-50 mph wind gusts. The slip joints are the weak link. Some have modded it by drilling for locking pins at each joint, I decided to pop for the flagpole buddy complete setup. Once the mounts are installed the entire thing goes up from the ground with no ladder needed. Just my 2 cents.

I was considering one of these two types I saw on Etsy. The first would slip over the top of my pole vs the other that I could use a piece of 3/8 bolt rod to thread into the top. My top cap is heavy plastic so I’m not sure about the threaded method. I was just looking for better ideas. I could always resort to radiator clamps.

This will work with 2" upper section flagpole. https://mri-denver.com/shop/ols/prod...k-adapter-p88p

MRI-Denver has numerous items for starlink https://mri-denver.com/shop/ols/cate...nk-accessories

I have an adapter from them for my Uncommon USA flagpole to mount SL.

MRI-Denver is a good company. I've purchased accessories for my RadRover from them in the past.

Ordered 1.5" pole to Starlink adapter from MRI-Denver on Sunday. It shipped Monday, and I received it Wednesday.

Fits tight onto 1.5" pole. Used light oil as a lubricant and bumped it on with light taps. Drilled 3/8" hole in pole for button, removed adapter (again with light taps), inserted button into pole, tapped adapter onto pole again. Starlink slides into adapter, and adapter has a bolt in it to prevent SL from rotating in pole adapter. I need to figure out how to secure Starlink to the adapter.

Thanks for the info. Currently have Dishy on roof of RV in the mountains of Colorado. So far so good. Probably will buy the 2 in pole adapter from MRI in Denver.

At $37.00, the Starlink pipe adapter seems to be one of the more affordable options & makes mounting the DISHY a breeze.
Obstructions have not been as big of an issue as I anticipated. The Starlink phone app seems to me more sensitive to obstructions than the DISHY itself. At least, that's been my experience.

I usually look for a lower cost alternative to save a few bucks but his time I just order a Flag Pole Buddy from Amazon for 199.99 and sure glad I did. I just works and easy to take down when we move and seems to be very sturdy.

What is every body using to mount the bottom of the Harbour freight flag pole on their rv ladder?

I do not believe a flag can be flown with this in use.

I’ve had a chance to install the Eez starlink pole, and I can say I like it. Seems well made and much cheaper than the other alternatives.
