I'm still running 2006 edition. I wonder if it would be a good idea to buy a 2913 or 2014 version, while they are still available? Some folks say the newer versions are not as good. Anyone care to comment? What's the latest map update?

I have the 2013 version and I won't give it up. this about the 3rd version I've used. Great program. But O know you have to upgrade every now and a again. I do a lot of what if scenarios before we head out o our next stop and have grown to like S&T a great deal.

I guess I'll start looking at Delormme(sp) next.

I used it for trip planning this spring for our trip out west to visit national parks. It was great for "what ifs" and deciding where to stop for the night, etc. After the trip, I then had a record and summary of the trip.
I plan to continue to use it until I feel it is too outdated.

I tried it years ago. It tried to route me onto an over pass where no ramps existed. I've found Garmins to be usable and supported.
