Thumbs up SureCall BoostRV Cell Phone Signal Booster installation

Greetings all,

Getting ready to install my SureCall BoostRV Cell Phone Signal Booster on my Jayco Entegra Odyssey 29V. Should be fairly straightforward, but was wondering the following...instead of drilling a hole to allow the cabling to enter the RV, I have 2 unused satellite connections on my roof that are already routed into the RV already, with the end connection being in a perfect place to install the internal antenna. Is there anything that would prohibit me from doing this like a) the run from the external cable has to be a straight run and no connections, or b) there may be a splitter along the line, that may matter (although satellites can't function if there's a splitter along the run, so guessing there probably isn't a splitter). It seems to good and easy a solution, and usually those don't work, but wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Many thanks!

Try snaking a wire through the route and see if it's open. Seems like a logical solution provided you don't intend to use them for a satellite connection and/or theres enough room for both.

The coax in your RV is most likely 75 ohm. The SureCall booster most likely uses 50 ohm coax. If this is the case, your existing coax will not work.

Give it a try. It may work, or it may not. Nothing to loose by trying. If it doesn’t work you are just back to where you started and have to figure out another solution.
