Looking a a motorhome with a Winegard Traveler for Dish installed(which we don't want). We already have a Direct Slimline version to replace. What all needs to be swapped out?

If you already have the DirecTV Trav'ler, you may be able to change out the LNB and reflector or you may have to change the whole turret. Also, you will need the DirecTV controller or reprogram the Dish setup. You might want to contact Winegard to make sure.

I think you can go from Direct to Dish with the correct conversion kit, but not the other way.

Lasi I read Winegard says you cannot go from Dish to Direct with the Travler. You would be better off going out and buy an open faced dish setup with tripod.

Just my 2 cents I would go with Dish programing. We had Direct Tv for quite awhile and had no problems then ATT bought them out and we had all kinds of problems and so did quite a few people. Maybe they've got it fixed now but I wouldn't go back to them now. Safe Travels

A true dish travler cannot be converted to directv . What needs to be done is buy a new / used direct travler and sell the dish traveler. There is no conversion kit. Only directv can be converted to dish for 300 bucks +\-
I assume you must have direct at home , if not the advice to keep the dish network is good.
