T Mobile Plan for Over 55
Has anyone taken advantage of the new plan they offer for those over 55? They say it's $60 per month including all taxes and fees for unlimited everything.
I just heard about it and have been considering dropping Verizon for some time now.

Check on limits for hotspot use if it is important to you . We are over 55 and use the One plan which is $100 for 2 phones and 10 gb hotspot for each phone. No,additional fees or taxes.

This is not available on the internet; you have to go into a store. We tried to sign up for it the other day and the sales guy just wandered off in the middle of our transaction and started talking to another customer that came in after we were there. We had to be somewhere else soon so it was not worth the time to argue with the "sales" guy. It was beyond rude.
We are going to give it another try at another T-Mobile store. Sounds like a great deal. But, T-Mobile customer service needs a kick in the pants.

We moved to MetroPCS on the T-Mobile Network. $85/month for my phone with unlimited everything and DW phone with unlimited calling and several GB of data. For just $100 they have a very nice 6" ZTE Android phone with 32gb memory and lots of features.
Not the coverage of Verizon or AT&T, but adequate and much less expensive.
We also have AT&T Mobley hotspot device.

i agree with you... verizon has a better coverage, mostly in rural areas. i would have stayed in verizon if their price disparity weren't that steep. now i am paying 1/3 of what i had been paying in an identical plan... a deal hard to refuse.

I plan on getting this next month. If you get the 55+ plan and add their International plan for an extra $25 you get unlimited Data and Hotspot on your phone. So for $75 you get it all, heck of a deal. A buddy of mine travels and their coverage is pretty good. They have NOT throttled him, even when he hits their limit of 32 Gigs. Last month he used around 350 Gigs of data [emoji12] Not a typo! If the tower you are using isn't clogged up, they don't care. Verizon will cut you off!

I have used T-mobile prepaid service for several years. I insert the sim into my Iphone when I cross the border and activate a data option for traveling and set up a hot spot. But that had data and minute limits. This year we plan to switch to their 55+ plan, 2 unlimited everything lines for $60 a month is not much more than we paid for one phone for a month. T-mobile coverage has always served us well up and down the west coast.

If you don't need that much data, you could get on T-Mobile for $15/mo for unlimited talk and text, and 2GB 4G LTE data, after which the speed is reduced. We are trying it out on one phone, but kept the other on the ATT for now. I am probably going to drop ATT and try another one of the MVNO's for my service, next month. Ah... almost forgot. The plan she went with is Mintsim.com

I wanted to come back to this thread, and ask those of you who are on the 55+ Plan, a simple question. Can you enable your phone's hotspot feature, so that it will provide wifi?
I don't think it will work on this plan, but I'm not sure. Anybody know if it will?

I stopped at a T-Mobile store yesterday asking about this plan, I'm not sure I got all the info, but did ask about Wi-Fi and was told for $25 more a month I could have a modem for Wi-Fi, still unlimited voice and data.
I am tired of Verizon increasing prices with less service.
I will be fleshing this out shortly.
