The new iPhone Binford
Last year I upgraded from an iPhone 10 to a 12 because the new phone had 5G capacity. After the upgrade I didn't see much difference and to be truthful liked my 10 better. As the year progressed 5G became more prevalent. It was not very noticeable at first. As time went on I believe the 12 was out preforming the 10 and receiving 5G signal which helped connectivity.
Now, I just upgraded to the 13 ProMax. The difference is incredible. The phone is heavy but has huge battery capacity. Yesterday I streamed XM radio for a couple of hours while surfing the net and sending email, continued texting and sending photos and jokes to friends. At the end of the day when plugging into the charger the battery was at an unbelievable 82%. My 12 would have been in the red and my 10 would have shut down. Aside from being the first phone with a battery that will do the job the antenna is greatly improved. All of this is not to mention the new camera. That was my motivation to go to the 13 ProMax. There is no more need to carry a separate camera. This is truly the Binford.

Have an iPhone XR. Supposedly 5G but when I do speed test.net, I get just a couple of meg download. I have a new iPad Pro. Its do is much higher.
The XR’s battery dies by mid afternoon.
I like that the iPad now uses a usb C charge port. The old fire wire port kept telling me that the charging cord wasn’t correct.
I’d upgrade my phone but they’re so darned expensive!

I had to look it up. Hahaha.
I miss the old iPhone style with the home button. I think it was removed after the iPhone 8 series. I'm constantly opening apps by mistake on my current XR model.

Back in the 90's I thought everyone watched Home improvement but guess I was wrong.
The point of my post was the 13 ProMax is by far the best phone I have ever owned. Apple out did themselves with this one and solved a lot of issues.
This should splain my reference to the Binford for those still confused:

Want to get hoot, watch a couple clips from the show.

Only the 12 and 13 are 5G. Just upgraded to a 13 from my old 7. So far very impressed with the battery life. Get 5G here at the house. Speeds are about 50% faster than my 7bbut some of that could be the difference in the modems. Facial ID is the bomb. No more stupid fingerprint unlock.
