Tripod Dish to Use With Trav'ler DirecTV to Dish Conversion

I have the DirecTV to Dish conversion done for my Trav'ler and want to also carry a separate dish to use with a tripod in case of trees. The 1000,2 seems to be discontinued and I want to be sure the 1000.4 will work. Also, what LNB should I be using on the tripod to be able to connect a single coax to an AB switch to run my Hopper 3? The Trav'ler is connected to a DPH42 switch. I can't do that with the tripod. Chuck

As far as I know the 1000.2 has not been discountinued. Amazon has them as well as Ebay. Below is a link that show how to hook up the tripod along with the Trav'ler.

It's the other way around. Get a 1000.2 with a DPH LNBF.

See my link above. Then you'll only have to run a single coax with a DPH LNBF:

Thanks techwriter. But what if I want to be able to access the eastern arc and still be able to use a single coax connection? Chuck

Just install an Eastern Arc Hybrid LNBF on a 1000.2 and run a single coax from the Port 1 connection on the LNBF.

Is there a way to identify the hybrid from a regular EA LNB? I have an eastern arc LNB but not sure it will work with the Hopper3. It just says DP Plus LNBF. Then has a serial number A229A1-WF-1208CWD. Chuck

Here is the dish and LNB that I have. It was on the house when we bought it. Are either useable for the tripod? Chuck

You have a DPP (DISH Pro Plus) LNBF — the wrong kind.

The DISH Pro Hybrid will have a “DPH” logo on it.

OK, great. But will the dish in the photo work? Can you tell if this is a 1000.2 dish? Chuck

If it had the dual LNBF on it, then it should be a 1000.2.
