Trouble with Winegard dish

our 2012 ice castle came equipped with a Winegard dish. Two Saturdays ago we could tune in the dish but then Sunday we lost everything. We thought it was the Dish Network receiver but we took it home and everything works at home. My husband is thinking it could be the "eye" on the dish. Could that be correct and what is the cost/where would be get one if so?
Any help would be appreciated. I love having a dish while we are out ice fishing.
Thanks

The "eye" is probably the LNB on the end of the arm(?). Can't offer any price/availability data without knowing the model of the dish.
But, I would test the dish and the connections before replacing parts...assuming that nothing impacted the aim of the dish.

Most problems are caused by poor or weak connections or failed wire.

Bedt luck

You can go to the Winegard web site (www.winegard.com); there you can get their phone #, where they can help you with troubleshooting. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you everyone for the replies.

My husband has done some more research now too. As in a different thread someone was talking about the elevation component. He thinks it might be that because the dish will "flop" back and forth when there's a slight wind even.

We are headed to the fish house today so we'll do some more research, most importantly write down the model number of the dish.

I'll keep you all post and again thanks!

If the dish is a triple (Three lenses on the LNB) you need to buy from DISH and I do not know the cost (or Winegard)

i it is a SOLO, (one lense) around 2 bits (25 dollars) at Radio Shack as I recall.

Very rare for it to go bad More likely an obstruction to the signal (IE: Evil Signal Eating Tree).

The "flop back and forth" part sounds like it could be the problem...aim requires azimuth (left/right) and elevation (up and down) to be exact and stationary.

Best luck
