If I remember correctly when I moved my SIM from Mobley to Explore Unite was that the Unite asked me for the PIN and since I didn't know it, it locked me out after 3 tries. I then needed to call ATT for PUK codes. Was no big deal.

Uh Oh-----Reset Mobley
Over a year on the unite and it’s been fine. If yours hadn’t been locked .. originally they weren’t , it’s just plug in and turn on. Easy !
We also got a pre paid Verizon hotspot ( no longer offered ) in a 8800 and it has been a great addition. Here in Florida near Disney att is 5 -10 tops on the Mobley plan ( managed ? ) with my att phone stand alone getting 50 ish while the Verizon hotspot is getting 60-90 Pays to have choices

Be sure and order a spare battery. The battery in the unit will soon swell up and will not stay in the battery compartment. It will also keep the cover from staying on. Pretty common with this unit. Chuck

Yep they sure will. I started letting my battery run down once a week. Is there a standalone charger for the batteries?

This condition is caused by having the unit on constant charge. I charge my unit up overnight while turned off, then disconnect to use it all day to run the battery down to less than 10%. My Unite 815S is over 3 years old and still running on the original battery for the entire day.

We're not full time so I don't get a lot of chances to use my Explore but I read here about the swelling battery so I make sure that I let the battery run down, sometimes leaving the Explore on, unplugged, overnight. Then in the morning I'll plug it in and use it as it is charging and repeat each night.
I just took the device out of my laptop case, turned it on and it still had 97% charge - I touched the data used display and it said that the next billing cycle is Jan 2020, so it's been a while since I've been out. I plugged it in and after a few minutes the "Fully Charged, please unplug the device" appeared. My battery is still normal size and I think I switched to the Explore maybe 2 years ago. Great product and the Connected Car plan is unbeatable.

So jumped through all the hoops to get the 2 PUK codes for the SIM card. Received Explorer Unite and inserted the card, already said 2 of the 5 attempts had been used. Entered both PUK 1 and PUK 2 into Explorer and neither PIN matched. Down to last attempt, what am I doing wrong?

You enter the PUK after you get locked out (after you enter the wrong code 5 times).

Make sure that you enter your own pin for the SIM. If you ever stick the SIM back into the Mobley ATT can't change it like they did your original SIM. You do that via the web interface - also set the Explore up where it won't require you to enter it (PIN) each time the Explore wakes up or powers up.

I've put in my own password for the SIM and know how to access the web interface. What section do you find the selection for not entering the PIN number each time you wake it or power it up? Thanks
