Verizon Air Card Reception in Canada?

I'm thinking about buying a Verizon Air Card for use during our annual winter vacation in the Palm Springs area - about 4 months. Verizon appeals to me because I can get service on a month-to-month basis instead of a long term contract.

I'm curious though about how far across the U.S./Canada border the Verizon Air card actually works. I'm hoping someone here can provide some info on that especially U.S. citizens who have RV'ed in Canada using a Verizon Air card.

When you are in Canada you are using Canadian towers, mucho bucks. Even close to the border they can snag you, happened to me in Eastport Maine. Cellphones also.

Great point! I should have thought of that - I guess I was thinking about satellite for some reason. But, you're absolutely correct about cell towers! It must cause real confusion for people who live right on the Canadian/U.S border. I mean look at Detroit and Windsor, ON - just a river separates them. I wonder how they manage that?

I used my AT&T aircard in Canada to check e-mail twice and it cost me $32.00. If your need an aircard in Canada, you could look to see if Verizon have a plan that includes Canada or an international one. Otherwise there are some in Canada that you can purchase and pay month to month if you really need to have an aircard.
