Visible Wireless
I found a few posts here and there about using Visible Wireless in our RV's so I wanted to start a thread dedicated to the service. I just started using the service and so far so good...
I would like to use this thread to hear from others about how they are finding the service to work?
What equipment are you using in your RV with the Visible?
What kind of coverage are you getting?
What devices are you running with Visible?
How are you finding the Visible to work with Streaming?
Any other details you would like to pass on?
Only looking for feedback from current users please. Chuck

Glad that you took the time to find a "few" posts. How about 117 pages?
FWIW, I am connecting to my Visible hotspot using the wifi on my TOGO and it works well most of the time. Connecting through the TOGO makes that router the one device that the Visible hotspot will accept.

Update on Visible. The party pay plan at $25/month instead of $40 has improved. Now your party can have as many people as wish to participate. I am in a group of 25+. It used to be limited to 4 and I we would have to find a new participant to join when someone dropped out.
4 or more keeps the rate at $25/month.
I have had Visible for about a year. Works pretty well where ever I get Verizon service. Use it to stream TV or general web use. I have a $200/year unlimited ATT plan tied to my GMC Onstar LTE hotspot as backup when Verizon towers aren't available.

I don't really have the time to go through 117 pages and much of that information doesn't answer many of the questions I ask in my initial post. So if you don't have anything to add, please go back to the 117 pages.

Thanks Jeff for answering at least one or two of my questions. How are you finding the Visible service for streaming with the 5MBPS speed cap? Chuck

I've got a Togo I just took off the roof. It's a Winegard dome CAT 4 modem with limited bands that most people bought because AT&T had a $30 a month unlimited plan, prepaided a year in advance. AT&T canceled the plan a few months after it came out with no grandfathering. Once your year ran out, that was it. It's the same as the Connect 2. Has 2 Mimo and 2 wifi antennas. Router and modem are in the dome. All you had to do was run DC power to it. Also acts as a wifi extender, which is how you would distribute Visible. Togo logs into the Visible phone, devices log into the Togo.
It's a pretty outdated tech imho. Only broadcasts 2.4ghz wifi, so very slow. Made for AT&T bands if you wanted to stick your own sim in it. No Carrier aggregation. No band lock capability. Not much reason to get one for Visible or anything else. I'd get something with a minimum CAT 6 modem and the ability to band lock if it was me.

Got it, thanks. Wondering what others are using for a router to get around the one device limitation? Chuck

Since you don't have time to go through 117 pages on the $40.00 a month post just go to post #10 for the setup. This is not high speed internet, but I have had 2 TV's streaming at the same time. One on Netflix and one on Prime. At the same time I had a computer going, and every thing worked as it should. I used the equipment in post 10.

Here's the link to the thread the previous poster is referring to.
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f53/40-m...ed-442091.html
If you go to post #10 as he suggests you'll find an attached document that explains in detail how to connect Visible to a router.

Thanks. I have read post 10 and copied the information. I have also saved the document. So what equipment are you using and how is the service working for you? Chuck

Again, every one of the above questions have been gone over extensively in the other thread. You may not want to take the time to read it but you may find that many do not want to take the time to repeat it so you might not get a lot of responses here.
I know it's a bit of a chore to go through long threads but if you are interested in knowing everything about Visible there probably isn't a single aspect of Visible service/equipment/hardware/experiences/etc. that hasn't been covered.

The original thread covers anything and everything you need to know. The op did a lot trial and error to come up with that thread. There is no place on the net with that much info on the Visible service.
