Best Buy is having a sell on LED Samsungs. A lot of people are changing out their tv's to them.

We purchased 2 36" yesterday. $279.00 ea.

Sorry about that. I missed the 12V requirement.

I have a Naxa 19” and a Jensen 32", both are 12 volt LEDs. The only plus with the Jensen, other than size is the fact that you can replace the remote control with a cheap universal remote if needed. With the Naxa I had to call the company and pay $35 to replace it. Took 2weeks to get it also.

We have an Insignia19in.. Best But store brand.. has a 12vdc "Wall Wart" and was (normal price) less than $100.00.. Looks good, works fine.. lasted a long time..

I have found that Best Buy and HHGregg "no name" TVs work just great.. Have one Visio and 4 "no name".. no difference. ('ceptin price tag)

Also.. both HHGregg and BestBuy will occasionally have smaller TVs that are 12vdc and use a 120vac "wall wart" power supply. They are usually bargain priced 12vdc TVs because they are not being sold an specialty item 12vdc TVs.. you have to look in the back of the display, the salesperson usually doesn't know what a 12vdc TV is..

All the 12v TV's are cheap sets made in China and then rebranded by US distributors. Our "Polaroid" lasted a year. Our "Skyworth" lasted 5 days before failing and then after being repaired under warranty it lasted for 3 days. Now both are at the local electronics recycling facility.

We now use AC TV's (Toshiba and Sony) with individual inverters. Only important to be sure the inverter is going to be quiet as some are very loud and not practical for use with a TV or similar device.

I had - the operative word is "had" a 20" 12v Jenson LCD TV. It worked fine until the power was inadvertenly turned off while it was "searching" for channels on setup. I tried to turn it back on and it froze up and I just got the Jenson startup screen.

I called Jenson support and they confirmed, that yes, the TV would do that and the only thing to do was return it for repair because that could not be reset in the field, They could fix it and return it to me, I asked if it was fixed could this happen again, the answer was yes. I commented about this being a design flaw. The answer was sorry but this is all they could do.

Anyway to send back I needed to pay $150 plus shipping fees and they would pay for the return shipping.

I threw it in the trash and bought a 24" 120vac Toshiba LED unit for about $150.

The Jenson power consumption rating was 145w. The Toshiba is 45W. I measured the Toshiba with my kill-a-watt meter. The draw was 38w.

I plugged it into an inverter supplied outlet and everything works fine.

Don't recall the Jensen model # but this one had a design flaw if a power interuption while tunning freezes up and can only be reset at the factory.

I thought most electronic items needed pure sine wave inverters. Are you using modified sine wave ?

Also, my Naxa 19" ran almost 18 hours/ day for over 2 years until I replaced it with the larger Jensen. Never had a problem, but I also never ran it using the 120 volt adapter. I wonder if that makes a difference?

We have a Nexa for when we don't want to use the gennie or the inverter.

The inverter idea has a "tax" of extra power over going with a real 12VDC appliance.

The Nexa is a very good unit and they are very affordable compared to other brands.

Best luck
