WiFi Issues

Now that ATT seems to have abandoned the 12 month yearly WiFi data plan and after I had spent $400 for a Winegard RV ToGo WiFi extender, what are you guys doing for your WiFi (other than relying on the campground)?
We just updated our rig with new Smart TV’s.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

To get your terminology correct what you are actually talking about is Cellular Data. The WiFi is what happens after the Wineguard recieves the cellular single with your sim card. My best advice is to look up the Mobile Internet Resource Center and watch their videos. There is no one size fits all solution.

There are a number of ways to get relatively low-cost unlimited internet. Your Winegard Toto is "unlocked" (or can be using a code from Winegard). Therefore, you can use SIMs from any of the major carriers or you can tether a hotspot to the ToGo using Wifi.

Without me promoting any particular reseller, you could explore Millenicom for T-Mobile service, Millenicon or OTR Mobile for AT&T service, Visible by Verizon for service using Verizon towers. There are others.

I have Onstar in my 2017 GMC. I prepaid ATT $200 for a year of unlimited data on the Onstar hotspot. I have a 300 watt panel on the truck and an inverter and 8 amp charger to keep the truck's battery charged while leaving the truck locked with it in accessory mode. I have a pair of 50 amp-hour batteries in the truck to keep the inverter going after dark. We use the ATT data also while going done the road.(not the driver of coarse)

I also have a Visible phone and have it connected to my Spruce Wifi ranger. The rooftop Togo Connect 2.0 is connected to the truck's hotpot and has an Ethernet connection to the WifiRanger so I have Verizon and ATT unlimited data available.
