We were 1st generation adopters. They did have some teething pains on both software and some hardware chips were a problem too. The company did the stand up thing, and replaced hardware out of the warranty period.
Current equipment and software is stable. I have not yet upgraded to the last release, but will do so within the next few months.
The roof mounted Billet with 3 DB (Think it was 3) omni antenna, does a surprisingly good job of pulling in local park WiFi. We do plan to add an alternate antenna that is yaghi pole mounted in the future - on my list!
Best,
Smitty

I have one that is less than a year old and have been very please with it. I have the titanium model with the GO router paired with it. I installed it to my Wineguard powered antenna arms, just below the Jack ant.
Using latest firmware version 6.6.5

Have one, not currently using. Have had multiple issues, but might be my ignorance in how thing really can work. Does not work in a crowed park with limited access. Will bring in a signal from farther away but often times drops and then starts its search again.
several people I know have had good success with the units though.

My suggestion is that you get your device out of the drawer and update it to the recently released 6.6.5 firmware. I think you will find it is a significant improvement over any earlier versions. If you have any problems doing the update, feel free to PM me.
As for how it performs at RV parks, no amplifier can improve the performance of a wifi system that is overloaded by having too many users sharing too little bandwidth. No matter what brand you buy, none of them can help with this common problem.

I work for WiFi Ranger, so I won't try to claim I'm unbiased, but I'll try to answer your question "Sky vs MobileTi".
Both of these devices will provide exceptional (and comparable) performance. The choice of one or the other is largely dependent on how you wish to mount them. The Sky is designed to be installed on a relatively flat roof with only a small hole needed for an Ethernet cable. The MobileTi can easily be mounted on a standard Winegard TV antenna post or on a rear ladder. It can also be mounted through the roof.
If you need Ethernet ports within your RV (for devices that don't have built-in WiFi) you might also want to consider adding a WiFi Range Go2 which integrates electronically with either the Sky or the MobileTi permitting both devices to be controlled from a single browser-based control panel.
If you have specific questions, feel free to PM me.

I ordered both Go2 and Mobil Ti yesterday and hoping to get them in few days before we leave this park. I am a bit worried if I can do the pairing and installation. I am ok on computer but not that tech savy. I might take your offer of PM if need any help. I am excited about this already.
Planning to connect it to my ladder for now and may be later to a pole or our antenna.

I think you'll be pleased with how easy it is to get them set up. The pairing is pretty much automatic. But if you need help feel free to PM me.

When ordered, with the GO, they come already paired. Not to worry easy to pair if needed...just follow all directions enclosed in your package. Don't overlook any stapled "tag" instructions.

Yes, that is a common and totally acceptable place to mount it.

Since we seem to on the subject, I have a question. I have a Go along with an external 9dbi antenna connected via a Maximum Signal amplifier. My question is this, what the Wifiranger external units provide that this configuration does not? Not thinking of changing and not having any problems, just curious how my configuration might compare to having used a Wifiranger external unit.

The external port on the Go does not provide full functionality and was completely deactivated on later units. You might want to check your signal level with and without the antenna to see how much benefit you are actually getting from the antenna.

Just received the package and installed it. Had to do a bit of juggling between Ipad and laptop, but it seems to be working ok now. I have connected to campground WIFI and connected four device using the same access (?).
Am i suppose to see the bars on my devices increase? I am connected but it seems I have less bars now. I have not taken the Ti outside yet but we are very close to the antenna of the RV site.
